ROMA, ANCONA, PORTO ST. ELPIDIO, MILANO and ZüRICH and now LUXEMBURG!!

okey okey...don't really know where to start...The time goes way too fast and I've had so much to do during the last few days of my trip, so I haven't really been online at all..

Now I got to tell you everything what I've been up to...to be prepared: it's gonna be a looong message...haha!

Well..I arrived to Roma late in the evening, around 10pm..it took me quite a long time to get to Roma terminal (railwaystation) where I was supposed to meet up with this Umberto. When I finally got there, after a long and swetty train ride, where I had to stand during 40min with my heavy backpack, Umberto was already waiting for me... We took directly the metro to his flat, which wasn't that far away from the center.
We went for a small snack and then I prefeared to stay at home and take have a long sleep..Well..When I contacted this guy..I thought that I would get an own bed or madrass or something to sleep on...BUT when we got in to his flat he didnt have anything else to offer me than to share the bed with him!!!!!!!!!! I was VERY surprised and I was kind of NOT expecting this...not at all..!! well..I had no choice..luckily the bed was VERY big...but I didn't really sleep that well, cos I slept almost on the wall..hahah!

We got up at 9am, because I wanted to have the whole day to see everything I wanted to see and what I've always dreamt about to visit :) We started with : Vatikan: It was just sooooo incredible!!!!! all the paintings, rooms, sculptures etc etc. WOW!!! I could have spent there the whole day, but I had to hurry up to have the time to see the other parts of the city too...which was really a shame...Next time I go there, I'll spend one day there, at least!!
Next stopp was: plazza s.Pietro, pantheon, fontana di trevi, piazza venezia, foro romano, colosseo, campidoglio...!! too many places for one day...!!

Okey..back again:

In the evening I was going to meet up with Maria, a friend of mine from my exchange year in Belgium, she is from Dominican Rep. Surprise surpirse she was at the same time in Rome !!!!! It was such a big surprise for me when I got to know this!!! :) Soo, I went out with her and her friends for dinner. It was so much fun!! We ate in this very sweet and small restaurang..which we thought wouldnt be that expensive, because the food wasn't THAT special...but in the end it turned out that we had to pay like 20euros each for it!!!!! which was a bit of surpirse for us!! After this we went to a bar which was soo nice and italian. we drank few drinks there and talked a lot. It was so nice to see how things still were the same between me and Maria even though we havent seen each others nor kept that much in touch during 4 years, that's real friendship ;) hihi!! well, we didn't stay that late because I had to get up so early to catch my train to Ancona and Maria had to catch her flight to Belgium.
So I took the night buss together with Umberto.. I went directly to bed because I was soo tierd...but I didn't really get ANY sleep because he didnt sleep..he was just smoking and watching tv in the same room where I was trying to sleep...! Soo.. in the morning when I had to get up I was sooo tierd..After I've finished the bag I left his flat and went to the railway station. I had a very Italian breakfast, pizzaaaa!! they have this excellent restaurangs where you only have to pay 1e/gram.. At 11.38 I took my train to Ancona.

When I finally arrived to Ancona..after a bit awkward trip in the train beeing watched of an Italian guy almost the WHOLE trip from Ancona to Porto St. Elpidio Nicola was already waiting for me... ON TIME!!! hahah, which was something new!! hehe ;) nothing personal...hihi. So when I got out of the train I heard him screaming: TERVEEEEEEEEEE!!! haha...which is something he has been calling me since we met in Helsinki..;) It was sooo GREAT to see him again. We had soo much to talk about and joke about..hihih!! We drove first to his summer house, where we were going to sleep. After that we drove back to his house to meet his family, who had been waiting for me for so long :) which was really nice to know :) I met his whole family and they were soo soo nice!!! I really liked them a lot. Later in the evening we had this huge and loud dinner with his family, and two friends of Nicola: Matteo and Pablo. It was sooo much fun!! and what a noice..hahah...everyone was talking at the same time..it was really a funny dinner, I enjoyed it a lot. After dinner we went out for a fast drink, because everyone of us were soo tierd..we drove for a while in the center of Porto St. Elpidio and later in the night me and Nicolette decided to rent a movie, Eragon, even though we both were sooo dead. But it was a really nice movie.

Next morning we got up pretty eraly, because we werent sure what time I should catch my train.. And at the same time his whole family was trying to talk me over to stay stillone more night, which would have been sooo great...but I knew that I had to move on.. :( So before I left his wonderful family we had this very good Italian dinner and we visited as well his grandparents HUGE house!! :)
The it was already time to go...:( But i'm sure that I'll go back to St. Elpidio one day very soon..I hope.

The train trip from Ancona to Milan felt sooooooo long, well it toom about 8h, so that explains it a bit...but I was getting crazy in the small cabin which I was sharing with an Italian family who ate all the time! I'm not kidding..!! and poor me was soo hungry cause I didn't have anything with me..just a bottle of water...hehe!
I arrived to Ancona at 19.50. Angelo had already been waiting for me for about 4h, because he thought I would had arrived earlier.. :( pooor guy ;) hihi. We took the most noisy metro ever for about 15min!!! it was terrible, you couldnt talk at all because it was sooo noisy!!baaah!! After this we drove for about 30min to Crema, a small town where he lives in a flat with his friend. It was a very nice place. After dinner and shower and some good wine we went to the center to meet up with few friends of Angelo. When we finally got there we went to an Irish pub and had a great time talking in english or at least trying to, hihihi, and trying to learn Italian..which is always very funny. After this we drove to Angelos' friends flat where we spent few hours. Later on we drove back to Angelos flat and before this we made a very short tour in the town by car.

In the morning we had to get up pretty eraly..but Angelo was so sweet that he got up ealyer to make us breakfast:) thank you for this! :) We had a breakfast and at the same time I tryed to find a place to stay in Zürich..unfortunately I didn't find any place so when we left from his flat I didn't know where and IF I was going to find somewhere to sleep in... hehe!
Before taking the train from Milan, we went for a visit in Milan; just a very very short and fast one. I saw the Doum and the huge plaça infront of it. We had this very good and tasty cappucino and then it was already time to get to the train. Again this was way too short visit..:( too bad!

The trip from Milan to Zürich was the BEST trip ever!!!! It was soo soo BEAUTIFUL!!!! I was very tierd because I hadn't slept that much the night before, but I didn't allow myslef to miss something so beautiful; I just had to see everything. The train passed through the alpes and the laces, I could do that trip again..and if you are planning to go inter railing, make sure that you are going to Switzerland. The trip went really well, I met a very nice American couple in the train with whom I was talking quite a lot with.
When we arrived to Zürich railwaystation the first thing I did was that I had to find a turist info. In the turist info the lady told me that there are only two Youth Hostels in here and that one of them is overbooked and the other one should have places left..So when I got to know this I ran to the tram and hurried up to get there before everything would be taken. But I had a small problem with buying my tram ticket, I think I stood about 10min infront of the ticket machine and tryed and tryed to buy my ticket when there came a girl and asked me what was my problem..well I explained her that this machine wont take my money..so I gave her my coins and when she saw my money she just told me laughing that they don't use euros in here!! hahah!! and the most stupid thing was that I knew this and I was thinking of changing money before I go to the hostel, but I had forgotten it, totally.
So when I finally got to the tram and was on my way to the hostel I was q bit nervous because I wasn't sure if this is going to work out or not. After 10min ride I got of the tram and felt myself very lost, luckily I met this girl with a huge backpack and I asked her if she is going to the same hostel; YES she was. :) Jess was from America. From the very beginning we had so much to talk about and we were really lucky that there were place in the same room ( I got one of the very LAST beds!!!). Later in the evening we went for a walk and dinner in to the center. It was a really nice evening. After dinner we decided to continue our visit and after a while we met up this group of ex inter railers and they were sooo happy to meet us. They wanted us to join them to this Brasilian party just close by, which was very nice! So we stayed with them for couple of hours and had a very nice time.
After this we started to walk back to the tram and to our hostel. When we got to the hostel we weren't that tierd so we stayed in the lobby and talked a lot with the other young ppl.

The newt morning we had to get up quite early so that we wouldn't miss the breakfast. After checking out from my room we went to the center for a short walk. It was really nice.
At 12.02 I had to take my train... I changed train in Basel to get to Luxembourg.
Finally in Luxembourg Misch and his mother was already waiting for me:) It was great seeing them again. We drove back to their house and went directly after this to meet up whit his friends who were bulding a boat! haha. In the evening we had dinner at Misch place and after dinner we went to this pub where I've been almost every time I've been visting Misch, it's called Aula. There I met as well Rebecca!! So we had this small CISV reunion. It was great!

Next morning after packing my bag, we went to this medival festival where Misch is working. we spent few hours there before I had to catch my train back to Belgium.

well well...Now I'm back in Belgium, again. It's really wierd to be back after such a long trip in Europe! It was really an awesome trip and I would love to travel still for few weeks, three weeks were a bit short. But I'm glad to be back in Belgium to meet up with old friends. :)

For all exchange students who are reading my blog: as today is wednesday and the FIRST wednesday of the month: BIG LIèGE!!!!!!!!! I'm going to meet up with Maria, the girl from Dominican Republic, to celebrate and to continue with our tradition. I really hope to meet some new exchange students too. But it wont be the same...somehow it's a bit depressing to be here without You... well well..c'est la vie koi!?!

What a crazy weekend in Madrid and Soria!

I've been so busy the last 5 days, so now I've got so much to tell you!

Well, as I told you already eralier I spent my last night in Barcelona at Tonyas place, a new friend of mine. We had a very nice evening with sallad and small tapas, me, Marcus (Italy), Sarah (Italy, Tonyas flatmate) and Tonya. We had this pyjamas-party, it was great. :) THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH for everything!!! You are a great friend and I hope to meet you soon again.

Early on satuday morning I left Tonyas flat...It was quite scary to walk alone in Barcelona and take the metro at 5am!! But everything went really well and I found my way to the railwaystation. I slept almost the whole trip to Madrid, Atocha.

Finally in Madrid, Victor was waiting for me on the railwaystation. Which was really nice:) We spent the day walking and driving all around in Madrid. It's a very very beautiful city. You can't believe how HOT it was on saturday!!!! It was more than 40C!!!!!! It was crazy, you couldn't really do anything cos it was too hot in the shadow and WAY too hot in the sun!! baaahhh!!We succeeded to visit the most important parts of the city and the rest of the time we spent eating tapas and drinking good spanish wine and one hour went for bowling! :) hihih!
Zarita was supposed to arrive to Madrid around 8pm, but the flight was almost 4h late!!!!! After that she arrived we drove to Soria, a small village where their parents lives, it's about 2h drive from Madrid up north.
So, we arrived to their home at 2am! We were all very very tierd and hungry...so after a long chat with her parents and small snack we went directly to bed.

On sunday we, Victor, Zarita me and their parents for picnic to a very nice forest. We had bbq, it was very very good. After this we went for a ride and visited soo many small villages close to Soria. It was soo beautiful!! (I'll show you the photos later!). It was a long but very very nice day.

On monday we drove to Soria to visit Zaritas and Victors grandparents and the city. It was a very nice place. We went swimming in a river on our way to Soria. First we left our stuff in Zaritas mothers mothers flat where we were supposed to sleep. After this we went to visit their other grandmother whos 94 years old and in soo good shape :) it was really a pleasure to meet both of them! The night we spent going from a cafe to an other, eating tapas and drinking wine...haha! very spanish evening! It was a lot of FUN!! HAHA!! we were pretty crazy the whole night.

On Monday we were soo tierd and lazy..we drove to this Laguna Negra, the black lake.. It was very beautiful.. :) after this we drove back home and took a loooooooooooooong siesta!! hahah! we ate dinner at home and went for few drinks to few cafes close by.

Now I'm on the airport on my way to Rome!!!! I'll arrive to Rome this evening around 20.20. In Rome I'm going to stay at a guys place, who I contacted through hospitalityclub. It's gonna be nice and interesting to meet him. :)

It pretty funny...I met this Finnish-lover here...very nice and interesting guy...haha!

Okey..I gotta go now so that I wont miss my plane. I'll tell you more about everything when I'll have more time.. Cos I still haven't told you everything.

Last day in Barcelona

Last night was a lot of FUN!! After beach I went home for a siesta, I was so so tierd after the party with the irsh guys. THANX to them!! :)

Later in the evening we went out for dinner with one of Lauras friends, Tonya whos birthday is today but we celebrated it already yesterday. The evening and night was very very international: Laura (spain), Tonya (schweiz), Pierre (France), Jon (Franco-Colombian), Maayan (Israel), Olga (spain) and me. We went to this very small and cute Malaysian restaurant. We ate this very special malaysian food which was a bit special but really good. haha! It was an interesting evening in many ways, ;)
After dinner we went to a nice café and had few drinks over there... but we got back to Lauras flat pretty early cos she had to get up early for work.

Today I've spent the whole day on the beach with Tonya, Maayan and an other girl, don't remember her name. Later on we met up with Martin from the Netherlands and Jens from Germany and an other guy from Italy and Brasil. :)
The weather has been soooo HOT today!!

Tonight I'll spend at Tonyas flat, because Laura is going to leave for the weekend and it would be way too complicated to stay here. So soon I have to start to back my things and the head to their hotel to meet up with her.

So, tomorrow morning at 7.30 I'll catch the train to Madrid. There I'm going to meet up with Victor and spend the day together with him. Zarita is arriving to Madrid later in the night and after that we are going to go to their parents place, they live a bit outside Madrid.

Well... gotta go again!

CALOOOR!!!

Hello from a very warm Barcelona!
I've been spending here almost three days now. It has been very nice to be back in such a beautiful city as Barcelona. I'm staying again with a friend of mine, Laura, who was one of the Spanish erasmus students. She lives very close to the center of Barcelona. She shares a flat with two other girls, one from Chile and the other ones is Spanish. They are very nice. And her flat, I just love it!! It's very old and so so nice and beautiful, I could really live here. And when you go out on the balcony you see clothes hanging on ropes and different levels of roofs and buildings, very spanish, if you know what I mean?!

On Tuesday I was quite stressed out, because I didn't know if I could stay with my friend or not..hadn't got any answer..so the first thing I did when I arrived was that I went to this internet café to write mails to different places trying to find a place to stay...BUT after a while I got to know that I'm welcome to stay with her, which was a huuuge releaf! :) SO, I took the metro in to the center and tryed to find Hotel St. Michel where Laura is working. It's a very nice and expensive hotel. :)
Laura took me to her flat and afterwards we went to have lunch together. :) It was really nice, we had so much to talk about, the time passed way to fast and she had to get back to work pretty soon after that. So after this I just spent my day walking around in the center.

On wednesday, I had this sightsing day :) hihi! I got up at 9am and went for a jogging tour somewhere in Barcelona..hihi, it was pretty fun.
When I was ready from my training I visited: Temple de la Sagrada Familia, Plaça de torros monumental(which is a stadium for the bull fighters, but it was closed so I'll have to go there again), La Ciutadella, Arc de Triomf, Casa Mila (La Pedrera).
I was walking my feets off, really!! But it was a beautiful day and I took plenty plenty of photos. I really love this city, the architecture is soo soo different and beautiful!! You can just walk for hours and just look at all the buildings and monuments.

Later in the evening I met up with Miriam, a girl who was an erasmus student in my school this year. We went for a coffee and afterwards we met up with a friend of hers.
You can never believe who I met later on in the evening?!? EOGHAN from Ireland (erasmus student 2007)!!! and three of his friends! They had been in a festival in southern Spain and came over to Barcelona for two days. It was sooo AWESOME!! god, the world is a small place. So we had dinner together and later in the night we went out for la fiesta!! :) it was great! We didn't really sleep at all, because Eoghan had to take is flight so early in the morning. I slept over in their hotel room, cos I didn't want to walk home.

Today I spent the day on the beach with Eoghans friends, Conner, Eoghan and Steve. It was a really nice and lazy day.

Tonight we are going to celebrate Lauras friends birthday! :) It's going to be nice to meet up with new ppl again. I'm really looking forwards to it.

It's crazy how the days just flies by, tomorrow is my very last day in Barcelona. On Saturday morning I'll take the train back to Madrid to meet Zarita and Victor once again! YAY!! :)

BARCELOONAA!!!

Hola guapas y guapos!!

Now I finally arrived to Barcelona!! The trip went really well..I was so so tierd during the whole trip, because we had to get up at 6am to catch the train at 06.50 from Alicante Terminal.
The train trip from Alicante to Barcelona was so so beautiful!! You could see during the whole trip the sea on one side and the mountains one the other..and it was wonderful to see how the sun got up behind the mountains...:)

Yesterday was a very nice day:) me and Sanky got up really early because I had to arrange so many things before me Barcelona. We went to the center to buy my train ticket, which I should have had done in the very beginning of my stay in Alicante. Now I had to pay a lot more, because there weren't any places in turist class. So I had to travel in 1st class! haha! It was pretty nice and the served got breakfast too..which wasn't really anything sepcial..it was quite poor..like those you get in the airplane. ;)
Anyhow..We did some shopping in the center and afterwards we drove back to Sankys home to eat some paella with her mum and Juan. It was very good!
After lunch we went to the pool with Ines, Tanya, Pablo, Sanky and Juan. We spent rest of the day there, about 3h.

Ines is a profesional photograhper and she wanted to take few photos of me before I leave :) soo...about 18.00 we began to prepear me for the shooting ;) haha, I really felt my self as a model;) First we took few photos in Sankys garden and then we drove to Juans home, and took the rest in his swimming pool. It was soo much FUN!!(she took about 260 photos!!) and the pictuers were soo beautiful. Ines is REALLY good on taking photos!! I hope I'll get some on my blog too, so that you could see.
Later in the evening, Pabol and Juan came to Sankys place and we had a very nice and crazy dinner together:) It was soo nice!! We eat some spanish/ korean food, yammy!
Around 00.00 they left home.. it was quite sad, cos I have spent almost everyday with Ines and Sanky :( I'm gonna miss my new Spanish friends a lot!!

We went to bed first at 01.30 and we had to get up at 6am!!! So you can imagine that I'm tierd now...I couldn't really get any sleep in the train...don't know why?! and I didn't want to miss any beautiful views! ;)

Now I'm trying to find a place where I can stay during my visit in Barcelona..my plans didn't really go as I had planned..but I'm sure I'll find something ;) hopefully!!

What a view!!

Buenos Dìas!!

Right now I'm sitting in Tanyas' summerhouse and looking out from the window with the wonderful viwe of the sea!! It's sooo beautiful!! They have an appartment right beside the beach and the sea, the highest floor and the view to the sea...you should see this!;)
This morning we woke up pretty early because we wanted to have a long day at the beach. About 12am we went to the beach with Tanya and her sister... now we are back and cooking some food and afterwards we are going to rent this kind of cycelboat, don`t really know the name in english..with Sanky, Tanya and Ines and maybe someone else..:) It's gonna be great.

Yesterday me and Sanky went to the pool close to her house, we spent there few hours and afterwards we drove to the center for some shopping. Later in the evening, Sanky had to go home, so I met up with Tanya and her sister. We walked a bit close to the sea and looked at the many hippie shops...they are soo nice! :) After this we drove to Tanyas Sommerhouse for dinner with her parents (well, it was a late dinner 10.30pm! haha).
It was very nice, her parents are so nice and funny, even though they don't speak any english we had a great fun and I had the possibility to show my knowleged in spanish...haha! They had cooked this lovely spanish food..yammyammy! :p

Around 2am we left for few drinks to a bar close to the beach...but we were way too tierd to stay and party a longer time, so we decided to go back home.

Tomorrow is my last day in Alicante:( It's soo sad...I'm really gonna miss this place, and for those of you who never been to Alicante, this is a very nice palce to visit!!
On tuesday morning I'll leave to BARCELONAAA!!! there I'll spend about three days. I'm going to visit Laurita, Nuria and Miriam (they were in Arcada as well last year).

After this I was supposed to go to Portugal...but unfortunately I was a bit late with my plans to buy the tickets, and now they are waaay to expensive... Sooo Zarita came up with this lovely idea: she will she me the north of Spain by car!! :D So, on friday, I guess, I'll take the train back to Madrid, where I'll meet Zarita and Victor again, and Then we will leave for a 3-4days trip to North of Spain!! I'm soo excited. After this I'll take the flight to Rome!!

Alicante, what a BEAUTIFUL place!

Hola chicas et chicos!!

As I told you the 18th of July I left Paris and I spent the day in Bordeaux. From Bordeaux I took the train to Poitiers and from Poitiers to MADRID. So I was travelling the whole day, it was a long but very interesting day. The train from Poitiers to Madrid was a night train, so I shared a cabin with three other ladys. One girl who I really didn't talk to because she was sleeping already when I got to the train and then there was one mother with her daugther, they were French so I spoke quite a lot with them. I went quite early to bed, cos I was so tierd of all walking. It was really wired to sleep in the train and I was quite scared because it shaked soo much! I was afraid of that it would go off track, but everything went really well. In the morning, about 9am I arrived to Madrid. I spent few hours in the railwaystation before I took the train to Alicante. It took me about 4h from Madrid to Alicante.

Now I've arrived to my next destination, ALICANTE!! It's so so beautiful over here!! :) I arrived to Alicante railwaystation yesterday around 4pm. Sanky was already waiting for me, which was really nice. Again it was soooo wonderful to meet Sanky, like the other ones. We drove to Tanyas work to pick her up and afterwards we drove back to Sankys home. She lives in a very beautiful and calm place not that far from Alicante center and the beach. Right after that we arrived to her house, we went to a pool just close to their home. Actually the pool is a place for golf players, there's a golf field just close to her house, but they are members of the club so we were abel to enter for free. We spent the afternoon by the pool, oooh it's was soo soo warm!!

Later in the night we drove to a small city just close to Alicante, with Sanky, Tanya, Tanyas sister and few friends of Sanky. It was a very beautiful place called: Altea.
We went to eat to a restaurang and afterwards we walked a bit in the city. By 1am we drove back to Sankys house. I was soooo tierd because of all my travelling the day before. So when I got home, I went stright away to the bed and I fell asleep right away.

Today we got up at 1pm!! hahah,you can really see that we were tierd. After shower we took a short drive up to a mountain close to Sankys home. We walked a bit around close to where Sanky lives. It's really a beautiful place, with huge mountains in the back and the sea in front of the city. WOW!!
Me, Sanky and a friend of her Ines went to the beach..the weather was really nice and warm so we spent almost 4h there. The sea was sooooo nice and warm, it was so great to swim there!
After the beach we took a short walk to the Hippis, it's small basar area with all kind of nice things, my paradais!! hahah...earrings, rings, bags etc etc. soooo nice!

Tonight we are going out with Sanky friends, so I better finish this message so that we wont be late.
